Keith Gates: Music

Jeffrey Bell-Hanson is in his eighth season as conductor of the University Symphony Orchestra and Associate Professor of Music at PLU. His career on the podium and as a teacher spans over 25 years and has included faculty appointments in Michigan, Louisiana and Kansas. In addition to his academic positions, Dr. Bell-Hanson has conducted orchestras and wind ensembles throughout the United States and in Bulgaria and the Czech Republic. Dr. Bell-Hanson recently competed a sabbatical leave during the 2008-2009 academic year researching and writing about the subject of ensembles and community.
