Keith Gates: Music

Ross Allured was the Sulphur, LA High School choral director for many years. He was named District V Vocal Music Teachers Association's Teacher of the Year in 1983 and 1988. He was a frequent soloist in a variety of musical settings, and was choral director at St. Margaret Catholic Church. His father, Don, is a pioneer in the field of handbell music, and his son, Colin, is a gifted guitarist who has won ASTA's national performance competition. Ross is now retired on the shore of Lake Superior.
